We have been doing this for a very long time using UFED and XRY.
A few months ago, we have created a video showcasing our method of bypassing passcode on a locked Samsung S4. This method works on most Galaxy devices, phones even as recent as S5 and S6. The password does not prevent us from accessing your device and dumping its memory for further forensic investigation.
We have utilized this ability on cases ranging from infidelity, fraud, to suicide phones. Providing a sense of closure for families or parties involved.
